Salaried Research Nurse - Merseyside (Wirral)

GP World have an amazing salaried Research Nurse opportunity in Merseyside, Wirral. This role is highly clinical and participant-facing and is well suited to an experienced Research Nurse seeking to further develop their skills within a supportive, multidisciplinary research environment. All aspects of the participant journey, including screening, enrolment, clinical assessments, and ongoing follow-up as part of the focused research study.

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 

Appointment Times: Flexible to your availability that you schedule. Appointment times will be confirmed inline with your scheduled availability 

Salary £40,000 - £44,000 

Start date: To start March 2026 

Location -Wirral

Requirements:

  • Active NMC registration
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in clinical research or trial delivery.
  • Confident performing standard nursing procedures in a research or outpatient setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of ICH-GCP and the clinical research process.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Clinical duties:

  • Perform vital signs checks, ECGs, phlebotomy, and other study-related assessments as trained and required.
  • Provide information and support to study participants, ensuring their informed consent and safety throughout the study.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of clinical samples and study materials.
  • Conduct study-specific clinical procedures and participant visits in accordance with the protocol, GCP, and EMS SOPs.
  • Support the set-up and smooth running of the clinical research site, maintaining a safe and organised environment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of case report forms, source documentation, and trial logs.
  • Attend site meetings, training sessions, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold data protection and regulatory requirements at all times.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional early starts or late finishes.
  • Able to travel within Greater Manchester and surrounding areas if required.
  • Full UK residency and a valid driving licence.
